Writer's Bio

Born in a small shack, dirt floor, outhouse 50 yards away, surrounded by the stench of a hog farm and the cackling of chickens and wild geese. That must have been tough for the person in that situation.

As for Ms Hershey, she was born into a middle class family on the eastside of Indianapolis when it was a lot of cornfields and people didn’t have much to do except hang out at the Dairy Queen, have random sexual encounters at the Geist Reservoir and hang out at the Y.

After realizing the places she saw on television were real places, (they had 4 whole channels in Indianapolis back then, 2 of them weren’t even IN Indianapolis. Channel 4 was in Bloomington, and Channel 13 was in Cincinnati), she got the heck out of there.

She joined the Navy, moved to Hawaii, traveled around half the earth into Asia and the South Pacific, and landed in San Diego where she lived in the back of a Volkswagen Beetle and did magic shows for the tourists in Balboa Park. Eventually someone figured out she was funny and she spent the next 25 years being a strand-up comedian.

If life was easy, everyone would be doing it.
